Marco Enjoy Fresh Continued Growth
Leading cable containment solution manufacturer, Marco Cable Management, continues to grow and expand having taken on 10 new staff and launching three new products so far this year.
The Llangefni-based business launched in 2003, and has rapidly grown to become a leader in its field within the UK.
Ian MacGregor, Managing Director of Marco Cable Management commented: “Once again we have enjoyed another 12 month period of expansion where we’ve seen new people join the team and more products added to our range. We began as a relatively small operation and have grown and evolved significantly through the years. Key to this has been our consistent commitment to product development and innovation and even during the difficult years of recession, we stayed true to our path, launching more products onto the market.”
Ian believes that a combination of excellent customer service and a quality product has been critical to the firm’s success. New recruits span the internal and external sales team as well as administration and manufacturing positions. Two of the posts have been international roles, supporting Marco as it makes its move into the export market, supplying products to Europe and further afield.
He continued: “We have a fantastic team and enjoy really high staff retention rates – our people all buy into the Marco ethos of customer first. We've introduced some new positions the year as we’ve made the exciting move into export which sees Marco diversify once again.”
“In terms of our manufacturing, we have created two core ranges of incredibly robust, versatile and aesthetically pleasing products that are used at building and refurbishment projects throughout the UK, across many different sectors.
“We have been part of the UK manufacturing boom that has helped the UK economy recover and will retain our drive to developing the business further still.”
Today, Marco employs over 70 people within roles ranging from manufacturing, product development, sales and administration. Marco’s products have been specified at major schemes across England and Wales including London’s iconic Shard, the Olympic Village and the UK’s largest healthcare scheme, Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
