UNISTRUT CABLE TRUNKING, UNISTRUT CABLE TRAY, UNISTRUT CABLE LADDER, MARCO STEEL WIRE CABLE TRAY

The combined forces of the Unistrut-Marco product collective have been utilised as part of the ongoing expansion of one of Europe’s largest retail chains.

A full specification has been made at LIDL’s latest UK warehouse development. Marking the 11th warehouse in the UK for the supermarket giant, the site in Wednesbury encompasses some 435,938 sq ft, to put into scale, the size of ten football pitches.

Unistrut has been specified on the German firm’s most recent UK warehouse development with contractors looking to replicate the success of that scheme through a similar specification. Now with the benefit of Marco’s steel wire cable tray, the design team has used a single supplier to meet all of its cable containment needs.

Stewart Griffiths, Area Sales Manager at Marco-Unistrut commented: “X has once again specified Unistrut as LIDL continues to roll out its UK expansion, placing us on their list of approved suppliers. Their confidence in our existing products encouraged them to consider the added benefit of the Marco products and they have opted to use both to fulfil their complete cable management needs.

“Feedback from the client has been very positive and the seamless process of supply combined with a single source customer service provision has proved particularly beneficial.

“The products ranges work together incredibly well as we recognise a growing need by contractors to streamline their procurement practises, adopting similar building methods and specifications on multiple projects.

“We have the resources and infrastructure in place to be able to manage the needs of a project of any scale and size.  Recognising the wider needs and objectives of our clients will continue to refine and build on our product offering as we move forward.”

The LIDL Wednesbury development forms part of a wider project by the supermarket group to invest £1.5 billion over the next three years to expand its warehouses and 650-strong store portfolio.
