A Marco steel wire cable tray specification has formed part of a wider £7million boost to homes and commuities in Merseyside.
Villages Housing Association has carried out an upgrade programme to apartments and communal facilities across five tower blocks in Stockbridge Village, Knowles, which include Mosscraig, Whincraig and Firscraig on Little Moss Hey Road and Denecliff and Merecliff on Pool Hey Road.
Each of the tower blocks has benefited from extensive repairs and refurbishment including installation of a new electrical infrastructure led by contractor HT Forrest who has managed the entire project.
Kate Knox, Key Account Manager at Marco Cable Management commented: “Our products are not typically associated with residential programmes, however, our steel wire cable tray has been the perfect fit here. The contractor needed to install a new electrical infrastructure and our tray was chosen to house the system throughout.
“Our products do fit seamlessly within a vast range of both new build and refurbishment projects and can be fitted retrospectively when specifiers are looking to upgrade or replace an existing network.”
Under the programme, the housing association, which is part of the ForViva Group, has installed a new energy efficient biomass heating system to replace storage heaters. Services including recycling facilities and communal storage were also delivered as part of the investment.
This scheme is part of Villages’ wider strategy to improve its 1,200 homes in Stockbridge Village and follows on from external wall insulation and internal improvements to the landlord’s high rise blocks.
