Marco Steel Wire Cable Tray
Marco, a leading uPVC Cable Management Company, and the UK’s largest manufacturer of Steel Wire Cable Tray, has supplied a significant quantity of Steel Wire Cable Tray to Parr Group, electrical contractors at the new East Terminal Extension at Bristol Airport.
The first of two major extensions to Bristol Airport's terminal has now opened following a 12 month build programme and £8.6 million investment.
Parr Group has been working as part of Lagan Construction's wider supply chain, utilising Marco’s Steel Wire Cable Tray across the terminal extensions which now includes a much larger departure lounge, featuring hundreds of additional seats as well several bars and shops.
Marco products have been specified throughout the new areas housing a large and complex cable network infrastructure to meet the demands of the new outlets.
Katherine MacSween, Area Sales Manager at Marco Cable Management said: “It’s great to see leading contractor, the Parr group, opt for our product once again. This was a large scale installation at a prominent project and our Steel Wire Cable Tray has been recognised as the best cable containment solution to meet our client’s needs.”
The terminal extension has been designed to capture the essence of the South West, with finishes, colours and textures taking inspiration from the Airport's locale. The use of timber and reeds alongside interior planting nod to the region's natural beauty, while a striking lighting feature makes use of Bristol's iconic blue glass to dramatic effect.
Katherine added: “There has been a really nice design element to this scheme. Whilst to the exterior, the extension represents the broader setting of the airport, behind the façade, the terminal has a thoroughly modern electrical infrastructure that meets the need of a new airport environment.”
