Work is now complete at the £6.8 million Boole Technology Centre on the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park where Marco has supplied its Elite uPVC trunking solution.
M&E contractor, Selmec , carried out all electrical installation works, specifying Marco’s popular Elite range throughout the state of the art facility.
The centre will house more than 20 highly innovative businesses and help to further the science park’s strategy of building a community of technology businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and researchers both on the site and across Lincolnshire. Founded by Lincolnshire Co-op and the University of Lincoln in 2012, the 2,398 sq.m centre is the first building on the science park to be purpose-built for technology businesses.
Dean Hopkinson, Area Sales Manager at Marco Cable Management commented: “This is an incredibly well thought out building that has been designed to house a number of highly creative and innovative businesses. Marco’s Elite product has blended in seamlessly here, its curved edge and bright white aesthetics a perfect fit, whilst comfortably housing a large network cabling infrastructure.”
The new building will retain the iconic Ruston Bucyrus substation as part of its design. Newly built alongside this will be a highly flexible mix of laboratories and offices with access to facilities across the site including cafés, meeting rooms, university research facilities and close links to the city centre.
