Marco has supplied a substantial order of steel wire cable tray and uPVC trunking to contractors the Dodd Group as part of the re-development of the Deanery School, Wigan.

The project will provide a new school building covering approximately 11,000 square metres located in the front part of the current school grounds. In addition to this, the Sports Hall and its adjoining classrooms will be retained and refurbished.

Contractor, Dodd Group, is managing the large-scale electrical installation opting for Marco’s cable containment solutions throughout. A high value order for both the steel wire cable tray and uPVC trunking, Marco’s products will be used behind ceiling and wall partitioning whilst trunking will contain cabling on the perimeter walls.

Kate Knox, Key Accounts Manager for the North West said: “This has been a large order that reflects the size and scale of this development. Its great to see a contractor choose both of our cable management solutions, recognising Marco’s one stop shop capabilities.”

This development will transform facilities for students. The school will provide purpose-built spaces suitable for delivering fist class education in a modern, purpose built environment.

The project will also deliver new faculties including dedicated dining facilities, drama studios, activity studios, larger classrooms and an outside teaching space. In addition to this, the school environment will be far more comfortable, healthy and more environmentally friendly than the current buildings with efficient and effective heating, ventilation and lighting facilities throughout the school.
