Marco has delivered a full cable containment solution to contractors on site at the new £9.4miilion Newark Leisure Centre in Nottinghamshire.
Contractors Seymour & Castle have opted for Marco’s steel wire cable tray and uPVC trunking for use throughout the vast modern structure.
The centre, which is now fully open, will replace the former Grove Leisure Centre, Balderton, and will include facilities for a range of sports and activities.
Dean Hopkinson, Area Sales Manager at Marco Cable Management said: “It’s great to see our customers use Marco products to meet all of their cable containment needs.
“We are increasingly being recognised as a one-stop shop supplier with contractors making use of both of our core ranges at individual projects, as is the case here at Newark Leisure Centre.
“Our products fit perfectly within almost any modern day structure both from an aesthetic and functional perspective and we now offer a complete range in terms of specifications and accessories for both.”
Newark Leisure Centre houses two Olympic-sized swimming pools, whilst the sports hall will be the size of four badminton courts and will be used for a range of sports including basketball, football, netball, volleyball, futsal and trampolining. The centre has been acoustically-treated which means there will be less of an echo and it will be easier to hear other people in the hall.
The gym will be one of the largest in the area and will include areas for cardiovascular machines, weight machines, free weights and more. The machines will have state-of-the-art facilities which include the ability to watch TV or connect to Facebook. People will be able to connect their mobile phone to machines to record their exercise routine. They will even be able to record a real walk or run and replicate it on a treadmill using a mobile app.
